Cottage Staff
Prairie Senior Cottages strives to provide exceptional service to our residents, their families, and our staff. Our residents require extraordinary attention, their needs are primarily custodial. Resident families depend on our staff for continuous communication, education, support and encouragement through a difficult journey. The employees deserve a workplace that provides opportunities for individual success and professional growth.

The needs of the residents and their families dictate the composition of the cottage staff.

Each location has a management team comprised of a full time Cottage Director, a part time RN/Case Manager and support positions that may include an Assistant Director,LPN, Activity Coordinator and Dinning Coordinator.

Additionally Prairie Senior Cottages has full and part time caregivers providing a high staff to resident ratio. The high level of staffing means each resident and family receives a significant amount of personal attention and service.

All staff members receive the training necessary to be successful at Prairie Senior Cottages. The training includes specialized courses in the fundamentals of memory loss, its related physical and behavioral problems, and the residents changing needs. The staff is also trained in the Prairie Senior Cottage philosophy of resident care and commitment to customer service.

Cottage Director
This full-time position is responsible for the daily operations of the residence, including general administration, resident admission and discharge decisions, hiring, training and scheduling the staff, budget management, implementing social and recreational programs, providing family support services and complying with regulatory requirements.

Registered Nurse/Case Manager
This part-time position manages resident medications and the related administrative functions, provides training, and assists the Director in evaluating residents regarding admission and discharge decisions. This person also acts as the liaison between the residents, their families, and their physicians.

Other Management Team Members

Caregivers
Prairie Senior Cottages employs a combination of full and part-time Caregivers to meet the needs of the residents. Caregivers work directly with the residents assisting them with their daily needs and wants. Caregivers assist the residents with; personal cares, grooming, meals, housekeeping and laundry. In addition the Caregivers enhance the residents’ lives through leisure, life-enriching social- recreational and productive activities.
